I think Rice made the right choice. So weird how any player would choose any other English club over us. Does Rice really believe he’ll win more trophies at Arsenal than here? He’ll probably go to Real Madrid in a few years having won fuck all.
He’s not as good as Rodri, I’m not even sure he’s a better midfielder than Stones. Nor is he creative or technically good enough to play in attacking midfield for us. So he wouldn’t have been first choice here.
Whereas he walks into Arsenal’s team.
Plus he gets to stay in London where he is very close to his parents (I’m sure I heard he still lived at home even after he and his gf had a baby). He said in an interview that he cried when West Ham put him up in digs when he first signed for them because he missed his Mother so much, and he was only a few miles away.
