Txiki Begiristain

So weird how any player would choose any other English club over us. Does Rice really believe he’ll win more trophies at Arsenal than here? He’ll probably go to Real Madrid in a few years having won fuck all.
I think Rice made the right choice.

He’s not as good as Rodri, I’m not even sure he’s a better midfielder than Stones. Nor is he creative or technically good enough to play in attacking midfield for us. So he wouldn’t have been first choice here.

Whereas he walks into Arsenal’s team.

Plus he gets to stay in London where he is very close to his parents (I’m sure I heard he still lived at home even after he and his gf had a baby). He said in an interview that he cried when West Ham put him up in digs when he first signed for them because he missed his Mother so much, and he was only a few miles away.

Is there a better run club in the world than us right now? All credit to Txiki, Ferran, Omar, Khaldoon and the big fella in Abu Dhabi.

*That should be my CL final ticket for Wembley next year sorted*

Watching him play, I find it hard to discern exactly what he is. Reminds me of Jermaine Jenas.

Anyone got the latest who spent what in the transfer market from sky?

It flashed up the other day and I did not see City on it. When did we stop over inflating the transfer market? -:)

Txiki is the best in the business.

Yea but can he over pay for butter ?

Obvious to whom? I can direct you to the transfer threads of Jesus, Akanji, Rodri, Ake, Gundogan, Dias, Alvarez, Cancelo etc etc if you'd like. No one on here was exactly singing from the rooftops when we signed them, but by the nature of our status, our quality and our globalized world we aren't going to be plucking unheard of kids from favelas and putting them in the first team. One or two might end up in the academy, mind.
We pretty much plucked Jesus and Alvarez from the favelas and put em in the first team ;,)
