I was in sports direct in the trafford centre today, their selling the 'green and gold' scarfs for a fiver, well green and yellow.
anyway these 2 lads infront of me in the queue, about 15-16 i reckon, bought one each for themselves and then pulled the tags off and put them straight on around their neck, a woman comes over shouting and says, ''where you get them from, why have you bought a scarf?'', must of been their mum.
one of the lads reply: ''shut up, i paid for it, i think they look smart, everyones wearing them, even some of kids at school have them on, i've seen some people wearing them in here today, i've been looking for one''
the other lad follows up: ''mum i think it's like the latest fashion trend to wear one, there proper cool aren't they''
one of the cashiers looked at them as if to say, are you taking the piss?, the lad behind me in the queue laughed to himself, he had a united jacket on this lad and he looked embarssed for them,
at that moment i just wanted to interupt and tell them what the scarfs actually meant, but i refused to lower myself to their level.
