isn't the next eds home match vs liverpool on February 7th?
There's an U18s match versus the dippers before that:

The next game to be played at the Academy Stadium will be the Under-18s clash with Liverpool on 24 January

Edit: 11am KO before the 'Boro cup match.

Was a good laugh in the Southstand!

Atmosphere was really good in there!

Ditto.
Thought the free badge was a class idea by City too.
Some serious talent amongst our youngsters- as to how many may make our first team remains to be seen.
Really enjoyed being on a terrace again and being able to move around and talk to others-just seems the natural way to watch football,i for one will always regret the day standing at our beautiful game was outlawed.

Will def go again.

Well done City.

Agreed mate - great to see you yesterday. Was a top laugh throughout - the atmosphere in the South Stand was superb with near non-stop singing for 90 minutes and proves that if we manage to secure the new block of pure singers next season it would make a huge difference.

Enjoyed it much more than the main game.

Crazy not to have Bovril though!

Been a long while since I've stood at one end for the first half (South Stand) then walked round to stand at the other end for the second half (North Stand) haha

used to do that in Pearce's last season in the hope of seeing a goal!!!!

Stood all game in the south stand, was great to watch football stood up in terraces and great atmosphere as well and got to be honest I was surprised at the level of football top start to the day shame about the result over at the Etihad,

Anybody else notice Schalke's center half looked about thirty balding on top no way was he under 21....

There's no info up yet, for some reason City are treating all matches at the Mini-Etihad as top secret with orders to shoot to kill anyone putting useful information out.

Hilarity just before kick-off, when the smoke from the fireworks combined with the fog and obscured the whole ground from the perspective of the east stand. Thought it nice to have a 'Typical City' moment to mark the grand opening.

Yes a "Typical City" magic moment.

Distribution of the badges etc was also farcical. Why cant City use fans just inside the turnstiles or at the turnstiles to give 1 to each person entering. Hiring individual to distribute outside was just daft.

Great little stadium, but need to sort out the terracing, ie the slippy smooth concrete, it felt like at times. Also what about turning the big space behind the east stand into a new City Square ? Would be ideal for first team games (just over the bridge) and give the reserve's and women's games a bar area !

We are the champions
Champions of England.

I enjoyed that one and when the lad (Steve Clarke) lost his man bag and had it returned the few made up on the spot were good too. The ball boys (young james Milner) also joined in with the Craic.
