I trust Khaldoon against that band of corrupt cheats at UEFA all day every day.

I don’t know it but I’m offering an opinion.

The club is very isolated on this as I don’t see an anti-FFP grouping within European clubs. PSG are now fine as they have their man on the inside and FFP isn’t the slightest concern to them. Finally, the legal process is a lottery so having scores of lawyers doesn’t make it any less so.

As I understand it, thereby setting a precedent as to the severity of sanctions they (UEFA) deem suitable, something CAS would take into account, they can't give Bayern, PSG and Juve a fine of 1 Euro, and then ban City for 2 years and fine them £25 million.


And should we eventually be exonerated, it will no doubt be reported we "got off on a technicality", wankers !

For me thats partly worrying about what people are saying about CAS and that they will only rule on UEFA not following procedure, not clearing us of any wrong doing. You just know all that does is reduce or get rid of the ban / fine, the stain on our club would remain.

Come on lads your going hyperbole to win an argument. By all accounts we were offered to be found guilty of a technical breach. This doesnt equate to murder or sexual assault its a slap on the wrists.

I think we all agree whats happened in the last few days has been disastrous and will have long reaching affects. My point is there could and seemingly was a way out of this.

which is why if we do have the ban/fine overturned, we must then press for damages to ensure the myth of a technicality is squashed

Unfortunately it's going to take a lot of work to wash this off, every media outlet has us as the corrupt cheats. I'm not sure we'll recover from this as we've allowed news outlets and journos to bad mouth us for years and this is just the icing on the cake for them.

Im as furious as everyone here and of course we did take the pinch and it came back to haunt us. I just cant see this ever subsiding. We will be questioned about this in 10 years. Its a huge story. Whereas a small fine would be done with in a month or so.

But we already are treated badly by the media whilst " innocent of any wrong doing " , so how would it be if we accepted " another pinch " ?

The stain on our reputation would never go away . We are up against the rag/dipper loving media whatever we do, so don't let us add to it by " admitting to something " of which we maintain innocence .
