John Aldridge has the IQ of a small carrot. Why anyone would want to read his pissed up, city obsessed rantings is beyond me. Its like looking into the diary of an eight year old with a rather disturbing fascination with an equally inept ability to communicate his feelings and opinions properly due to an alarming lack of vocabulary and intelligence so resorts to "City Bingo" to try and make himself look clever. He's a scouse prick and shame on any publication that wants to take itself seriously by publishing his inane blabbering. I doubt very much he wrote the piece on his own because the term "modest fanbase" is far beyond anything he could muster therefore some ghostwriting Scouse fanboy filled in the articulate bits for him. Don't click on the link it will hurt your eyes!

For me it only coincides with the point that its the opening day of the new transfer season and has fuck all to do with the FA Cup.This is the FA nothing to do with UEFA who possibly couldn`t give a shit what weekend it really was/is.

maybe, but to me that doesn't matter because any player who wouldn't come to this team and all it has to offer with wages, facilities, and coaching because they might miss one season playing in the CL can sod off because he would only be serving himself anyways, and not the crest.
besides how many top footballers do we need? very few, and how many wouldn't come for your reason that would be better than what we have? even less. so for maybe the one or two players it MIGHT affect, i think that part is not a worry.

Manchester City Football Club is disappointed, but regrettably not surprised, by the sudden announcement of the referral to be made by the CFCB IC Chief Investigator Yves Leterme.

The leaks to media over the last week are indicative of the process that has been overseen by Mr. Leterme.

Manchester City is entirely confident of a positive outcome when the matter is considered by an independent judicial body.

The accusation of financial irregularities remains entirely false and the CFCB IC referral ignores a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence provided by Manchester City FC to the Chamber.

The decision contains mistakes, misinterpretations and confusions fundamentally borne out of a basic lack of due process and there remain significant unresolved matters raised by Manchester City FC as part of what the Club has found to be a wholly unsatisfactory, curtailed, and hostile process.

We've had that statement ready ever since this started. We knew they were gonna try and fuck us over on this.
