Proving the whole system is corrupt, is ran in favour and by the “elite clubs” and nailing UEFA in the courts to the point of destruction, will be greater and more satisfying than any title win.
True, but it would be quite satisfying if we could get to see the bent fuckers have to personally hand over the CL trophy to David Silva come what May.

I'm not suggesting anything.
I have no access to City accounts and i don't know what has been done or not done behind close doors. What i think is FFP was designed to stop City and PSG and changes were implemented along the line to make those clubs fail. I also think City and PSG used tricks to go around, find loopholes because they are ambitious and won't settle for being middle of the pack clubs. Now, both clubs used different methods. PSG invented a new type of contract "nation branding" and argued that it was worth hundreds of millions because there were no equivalent, thus no fair value market. I don't think anyone can argue it wasn't an attempt to blindsight the rules. In my opinion, what City has done according the hacked emails is way smarter. The only problem is that those emails have been made public.

As you said "My understanding of the emails was that UEFA where arguing Etihad paid a low amount and Abu Dhabi United topped it up", UEFA is considering the money was coming from your owner through those sponsorships. This, de facto, makes them related parties. Thus, UEFA is taking the numbers directly given by the sponsor as written in the email as the new market value. Scummy move, especially applied retroactively, while City can't balance the books anymore by selling a player.

My whole viewpoint on that case is that UEFA was pressed to trap the new (arab) money clubs by the established elite and those emails gave them the ammunition to fire a shot at City. However, i don't think City is the only club to do that. Pretty sure that there must be some backdoor deals when Jeep or other firms from the Agnelli decide to sponsor Juventus or when Audi, Adidas sponsor Bayern while being stakeholders. And, i have zero doubt the Emir of Qatar has been pressing those Qatar firms to sponsor PSG. Just that UEFA doesn't have emails of the same nature listing how the payments will be made. These emails are the basis of their argument that you have been lying and not cooperating.

As stated in this tweet, i think the difficult task for City is not the problem of the fair value of their sponsors (they can say the value was accepted by UEFA in 2014) but the fact they are accused of untruthful reporting of their financial situation. And this is prolly on this axis UEFA will try to justify their sanction.

Perhaps I am not making my self clear if the money came from Etihad we are fine (not related party not over valued) Logic law accounting practices independent Audit UEFA say so originally.

If the money came from the Abu Dhabi Executive Council we are fine (same as above)

If the money came from ADUG / Sheik problem

Except ignoring the emails public records regarding who helped finance Etihad says it did not + Plus why would you replace Etihad money with your own money and break the rules in the process when your not connected to Etihad why bail them out of there sponsorship ? It would be like me paying for Amazons marketing it is not going to happen. Plus they got money of the Abu Dhabi executive Council so why bother that covered it

It’s like Sainsbury’s Bringing in a rule that if your rich and successful & earn over 150 grand a year If your dad was a painter earning 18K and your grandad drove a bus for 12k you can only spend 50 pounds a week with us. Utterly ridiculous and we should go for the jugular.

luvitt

That must be greatly satisfying. Even more so when the penny drops that their cartel might just be on the verge of being outed and dismantled.

Exactly mate.

A rag fan has just read out the list of people supposedly on the panel that made the decision and they were all gobsmacked.

Gill, a Scouse Director, someone linked to Bayern, someone linked to Madrid.

I just said you lot will be going down with UEFA here and they didn’t even respond.

Of course Etihad is state subsidised, as are many big companies. Its irrelevent, the question is... is City sponsorship by Etihad fair value? Clearly Yes, and did the funds come from Etihad (directly or indirectly - doesn't matter) or ADUG? Clearly Etihad (as the Open Fair Skies document confirms).
This,i can't understand why anyone would use it to say we are state sponsered

I get what u r saying, but few points are clear - with this our reputation has taken a nose-dive , so even if you put it on a neutral channel per say and they ask question with a soft presenter - RIVAL FANS + this media will still say its Propaganda.

The AP correspondent would have the same response if Linekar took it as u suggest , would say something - Linkear asked soft questions / clearly managed interview etc.

I could not give 2 shits anymore about what the uk media or other club fan bases think, as long as we are safe in securing relevant partnerships and sponsorship's deals for our club (which going of the evidence we are)

Then i am fine with that. We are hated anyway

And would the bank judge it as dodgy if I had a guarantor that was offering to cover the full amount in lieu of owning more of the car than me?

My boss (the owner) has just invested £100k of his own funds into our business for expansion as the business couldn't afford to do it at this time. The investment will for itself in 18 months.

What's the difference in etihads owners investing money with a view that in the long term it may also pay for itself?
Did UEFA know Etihad had a guarantor? If so, who was the guarantor?

It is an active case, there is no media we can trust not to edit it or even agree to let us have 100% control, fuck what the mecia think, they are all snivelling ****s,this was for us,investors, the staff and players

spot on, the snivelling little scrotes who are out to paint us as guilty as charged are only moaning because they had no access, which meant they could twist it to their own agenda

Yep. And it’s not as if our media profile could get much worse is it?

Its even more laughable when you look at our incomes and profits compared to everyone else.

We are one of the elite clubs revenue wise right now and ive little doubt we will be number 1 in the near future yet here are UEFA telling us we cant afford to spend money like the others who earn far fucking less, have less profit and are balls deep debt.

Didn`t realise I`d made it into the Top 20.

What a fucking beast! Should speak more often!

'We will do everything that can be done to prove so' (that the allegations are false).

- No problem with UEFA, just the FFP Chamber.
- Ruling was political.
- Leaks through out.
- We cooperated but the Chamber was convinced of our guilt every step of the way.

What a great interview.

The part in bold is really important - isolating the CFCB from UEFA is the right thing to do, as it allows Ceferin et al some room for manoeuvre.

If the Directors are lying to us we would never forgive them.

After seeing that I don’t think they are.

A friend of mine went to a CL corporate match many years ago and got talking to a UEFA official. After a bit the official said I hate your club and what it is doing and walked off.

I thought it weird then. A bit clearer now.

Well if that is true then it just goes to show doesn't it - our owner has hurt them, more than anyone. He has shown how you can make a club successful whilst regenerating the local area and building infrastructure - this was never just about football (as we know) it is about money, power and profits etc etc
