I'm not interested in why there is so much hostility to our club and I don't think our club should become involved in a battle fought out in the pages of such weighty publications as the Mail, the Express and the Sun. David Conn considers himself the voice of financial purity but he counts for nothing in this epic. City are taking on American corporatism and sporting dishonesty where it matters - in the courts, and everyone will find that the law is not interested in what Gill, Woodward, Henry, Kroenke and Uncle Tom Wenger and all want but in what the law requires. And whatever City have on other clubs will not be sordid gossip but hard evidence to be used in court, and our lawyers - the best in the world - would not want it spilled across the pages of the gutter press. City are, I believe, involved in a lengthy process but one they approach with unshakeable confidence. In my opinion stage one will be in CAS to get the UEFA verdict quashed. Regardless of CAS's decision stage 2 will be to have the verdict of 2014 declared unenforceable and FFP unlawful. Stage 3 is to pursue UEFA for damages and to show that FFP was n ever a well intentioned plan to promote financial stability in the game but a conspiracy to cement the place of certain, named clubs at the top of the game and enable them to monopolise the financial benefits of success. This will identify the cartel and lay them open to swingeing fines and damages. It will also spell the end of UEFA and its replacement by a body which is "fit for purpose". City have no time to waste on the grubby little rantings of papers which sold their souls to the cartel years ago. We have just the legal teams to achieve all this.
Excellent post BSHR, I was convinced that our owner, ADUG and his legal team had a plan that would legally succeed rather than a PR team that competed for space with a biased media.
You have given me a framework of bones that will gradually have flesh added to it.

I look forward to seeing it gradually unfold and allows me to smile with inner knowledge that the tiny skirmishes that the media claims victory with are there simply to pave the way for complete dismantling of a corrupt regime.
To be honest if ADUG can take on a cartel at the difficult investment stage with changing ever tightening rules and succeed surely a business plan on a more stable platform to legally take on a shady set of unworthy shysters is better prepared.

I hope very much once we can eventually get back to playing football, that these eight clubs are not invited for an after match drink. If so then please Khaldoon spike the drinks with arsenic.
Cockwombles all eight.
My sincere thanks must go to The Blades.Well done lads.

hard to imagine what the atmosphere is like when our guys meet up with the chief execs of these clubs, which they must do on a fairly regular basis. The managers, no matter how well paid, are not the movers and shakers here, but the atmosphere at chief exec shindigs must be poisonous.

Long time lurker on BM , but only just registered so hi to all.

The thing I find strange at the moment is the silence/lack of reaction to the Mail story on the Grauniad. They have been vehemently opposed to our owners , and our success, perhaps they are hiding something.

If that’s their line, and I agree it seems like that, then this story would be an embarrassment to that position I guess, so I’m not surprised they aren’t giving this story more legs.
Welcome btw.

It might sound petty but I would reduce the standards of catering, seats, in fact everything these directors etc of these clubs receive when they come to games.

Basic Costco buffets, a few cans of pop/beer. Some miniature bottles of wine.

I'd make the fuckers pay to get in. Every little helps when you have to meet the FFP regulations.

They can't deny it if there is as suggested a paper trail, hence no reaction from anyone
