I’m sure he’d be available but the legal teams will be very well briefed with all the available evidence and more than capable of dealing with everything.Doubt he’d sit through the whole thing.

He can always watch it at the house across the lake with Sheikh Mansour and his real boss.

Just as a matter of interest, during the early years of 2008 to 2011, did these journalists peddle the sports washing and human rights abuse shite when reporting on us? I know some of the old guard in journalism like that gangly fucker Paul Smith(I think) who looked like Dracula called us morally bankrupt a lot but I never remember any human rights abuse being tagged with us.

City Rabin says these wankers nowadays like Delaney, Mcgeehan and Harris are paid shills to promote and post this shite, just wondered if we wasn't successful and never won the league and these cups would we still get the abuse.

If it happens That club officials do indeed attend the hearing, will khaldoon be one? I assume this is of the upmost importance regarding the club and he would want to be there?

If he's provided a witness statement and UEFA's legal team want to cross-examine him, he'll have to be there albeit virtually.

I was told by a source that football journalists at both The Guardian and The Telegraph got memos telling them what position to take on Project Restart. It's not therefore beyond the bounds of possibility that Conn took one line then was told to do a volte face.

The Guardian is the first UK national paper that I can find anything by McGeehan and Conn was the first one to quote McGeehan linking the UAE, human rights and us. Here's some interesting stuff on McGeehan, that questions just how even-handed he is when it comes to his views on the UAE and Qatar, both of which he was supposed to be monitoring for Human Rights Watch.

Isn't David Conn a freelance journalist? Most freelances learn quickly to focus on the stories which get the most coverage. Let's be honest there is more money to be made from the anti-City narrative because that's what gets published. I actually don't blame him for this. My issue is that a lot of his articles have lacked context and balance and he has made plenty of mistakes. I think he is more of a "bluffer" than an expert.

Your last sentence is spot on. Conn has put himself forward as a self-proclaimed expert on football finance yet he is fucking useless in this aspect. If you had the misfortune to read his book Richer Than God (I have) then you will see a hotch potch of poorly researched nonsense pulled directly from public quotes. There was zero in depth information about the clubs finances.

Yeah, I don’t think he’s as clever as he thinks - he’s by no means the worst but I think he tries to wing it at times. There was an excellent post by @petrusha a while back about Conn being a bit of a Conn job.

If I remember correctly, it was Jose's bezzy mate Rob Beezley who coined the "morally bankrupt" catchphrase on Sunday Supplement...

No not a peep on human rights, the line was we have money but we can’t create a team that would challenge the rags. Once that advantage was eroded away it was how empty our stadium was even though we get something like the 13th average highest gates in Europe. Then when Guardiola hitched his horse to the City wagon and won the premier league twice they had nothing but to go with the sports washing narrative.

Why don’t they give Sheffield United shit for their Saudi owners or Leicester with their Thai owners? Why because they ain’t a threat to the American owned red history boys.

How dare anyone challenge the monopoly they created with the unfairly carved up TV deal and the 4 champions league spots that they occupied for numerous years where no other team could get a sniff at top level European football.

Will any journos be allowed to be 'in' the courtroom?
Just wondering when it starts, will we have any sort of updates from as to how it's going

It'll be closed to anyone not involved.
I doubt there will be much in the way of detail given out, as CAS have already warned UEFA about leaking.
