First there was the story that they could play an amazing amount of games if they won all 7, which is 2 more games than we would play if we won all 5. Wow, 2 games more, poor media darlings. Then it was the 7, scratch that, 6 they can win, which again is just now the 1 more than we can win as we already have the Charity shield. So they can potentially win 1 more trophy than we can and play 2 games more in 300 days than we can, yet all the press is so far up their arse we are not mentioned.

Wonder if the reporter who said fans celebrating a win in the charity shield should be embarrassed will report the same for tonights European Charity Shield, though at least Chelsea actually won something to qualify for this one, unlike Pool in our charity shield.
Wonder also if they will boo the national anthem again.

Plus remember these comments after Sterling scored in the Charity Shield:
"Sterling celebrating like it means something," said a second.

"Sterling celebrating like it’s the end of the world," a third said.
"Sterling with the p**** move of celebrating against his old team," were the thoughts of a fourth fan.

Nah, the ECWC became the UEFA Cup, which is now the UEFA Europa League.

The "Super" Cup is a typical UEFA 1990's initiative, to have the UEFA Cup winner play the Champs League. i.e. pointless posturing.
 
There's an article on the BBC website today citing various reasons why the Super Cup is apparently an important game. Strange that they've never given a toss about this fixture before now.
