Well Germany isn't full up, is it. Neither is France, Italy, Spain, Greece or Portugal. If as you say Sweden is their desired location, then the EU should do their best to ensure they reach it. (I don't read newspapers either; they all have an agenda which caters to their chosen readerships preferences and bias. Mirror lies, Sun lies, Mail lies, Guardian lies...)Rascal said:Mëtal Bikër said:And what about our fellow EU members? Are they tied by the same obligations? I'd have thought that Great Britain was a far distance to travel for a refugee, especially when Italy, Germany and Spain are much closer and capable of tending to their needs.Rascal said:They are not asylum seekers they are refugees so the travelling through countries line is irrelevant.
I think it is our obligation to take as many refugees as possible. And no cap must ever be put on asylum seekers.
And they do already.
Germany takes far more than we do. Sweden is a desired destination. They dont all want to come here you know, that is the Daily Mail lying.
It's not a 'shared responsibility', it's meant to be about what's best for the refugees, and what is best for the refugees is to reach a sense of normailty, safety and protection as soon as possible. How is crossing an entire continent helping them achieve that?
