Its clear southgate hasnt a clue how to play Phil. Phil is a top top player but managed by a useless spineless knobhead.

I really hope southgate hasnt knock Phil's confidence. It seems to take Phil some time to get back to his City form after being coached by southgate.

Its ridiculous of the press/media to main about Phil's performance when his teammates wont pass to him. Phil plays on another level and it must be really hard to drop his standards.

Phil goes from playing with KDB, Rodri, Silva, Gundogan, fernandinho etc to playing with fucking Henderson, Rice, Mount, Rashford, did I mention fucking Henderson.

Semi retired fucking Henderson a bloody joke. I dont read the press/media but I bet he gets a free ride over Phil.

So glad I dont follow my country and its City all the way. But I do feel really sorry for our young English players under southgate.

For whatever reason, Southgate clearly does not like Phil Foden, think in last world Cup, he was asked about playing Phil centrally as a 10 I think it was, his response was " he doesn't play there for City", then went and picked slabhead who wasnt even playing at all for utd, the waistcoat is useless

I watched the first half - my usual limit to watching England, Same old stodge, no player looking as though he could be a permanent fixture for the next five years or so, and I did spot Gareth exuding a look on his face that yelled 'cluelessness'.

But what a goal from Kyle, I bet he watched that video of Dzeko receiving the pass from deep, over the back line and bang!

My ERO did text that he was pretty familiar with the Ukrainian full back not tracking the runner, though. Seems to have been a regular occurrence at Goodison lately!

So sad. Everyone sees the problem except the FA. We have the best players in the world and yet the FA think we have the success(?) we have had because of him and not in spite of him.

Unfortunately we are saddled with him just like the Tories. So frustrating that we can’t get rid of either of them.

It's that daft fuckers tactics or lack of them. Even Dion Dublin who's not the sharpest tool in the box said we looked a bit lopsided, which was a huge understatement.
A certain person on here can trot out statistics all they want. It's a fact that the qualifying groups are favoured heavily for the bigger teams, therefore the win percentage is higher. We have achieved what we have in spite of Southgate not because of him. A better manager would have won the Euros, playing at home with the talent at his disposal. We scraped and stuttered to the semi finals at his first world cup and scared tactics meant we lost. Same against France. The man is fucking useless, a negative scared tactical.moron with no personality or charisma. He's perfect for the fa as he's a typical diplomat never saying or doing anything controversial. The grey fucking man.
