This is more burgundy than our City maroon though (the City maroon is more a brown/red mix than this purple/red mix).

I always remember this kit having a proper collar on it. Never seen this round-neck version before. Was this just a demo model? Looks like the collar's been pinched from the maroon and white striped effort from the late 80s.

This shirt was only worn for a few games at the end of the 89-90 season. Yes it has the same collar as the candy-striped shirt. Then for 90-91 and 91-92 we used the same shirt but with a matching maroon collar.

yeah I'm bad at judging colour so I can't get it a proper maroon but you get the idea...

No worries Joe, i can see around the shallow colour, you've rang the bell for me, we've won trophies in maroon, everyone knows our variant of skyblue and the sash is us. Scrap the white collar for maroon and it's very obviously a Man City shirt .

when it comes to shirts i definitely think the simpler the better
less is definitely more in this case
