Read lots of good posts this evening, pro and anti Les, and reflected a lot on our current plight.Today was unquestionably a shambles, but like the mauling at 'Borough last year, I feel that it was possibly always on the cards. All the current speculation does not lend itself to team spirit and harmony. Additionally, we started the game without Robinho and Stevie, and when Shaun limped off, we were devoid of our three most influential players - not to mention high scorers. We also had, in our spine, Kids! - Joe, Micah, Gelson, Caciedo and Sturridge. In Micah and Joe, I feel that we are currently seeing an inevitible dip in form. Isn't this normal for young players - anyone remember SWP being taken off at half time by KK? If we are not careful, particularly with MR, we are going to create the all too familiar Manchester City self-fulfilling property - If we keep telling him he's shit....
Conversely, Forest were a team with nothing to lose and buoyed by a change of management this week.
Since ADUG's takeover, our club has experienced an unprecedented change in fortunes, and when implementing change, conflict is a normal part of that process. In spite of today's result, surely it would be potty to not, at least give the club time to absorb and consolidate what has happened since September - not to mention what might be currently unfold during this transfer window?
Or am I talking wine-fuelled bollocks?
