How to lose solidarity, friends and piss off members




As one of the biggest unions, it has to be said for actually respesenting it's members when it matters, it is pretty bobbins.

Prentis was always one to back out of a fight and it seems this new leader will be the same, she is also on the right of the movement

But then member shave only themselves to blame, she won with votes totalling 5% of the membership and the two left wing candidates, endeing up as usual split the left vote.

A few years ago I was lucky to be chosen as a union delegate for the TUC conference. It was around the time of the British Airways pilots strike. Prentis got up to strike down a motion on supporting them. During the break he passed our table. Our GS got up and said to him "I heard you were Ill Dave.", "I'm sorry?", "I was told you can't sit down because you've too many splinters up your arse!"


One of the highlights of a frankly boring 4 days of pontificating, top table Gerry mandering and Gordon Taylor sounding pissed during his speech.
