It's obvious to everyone that Rooney is shot, LVG and PEG have done nothing to address this.

Compare this with Pep who has taken one of all time best players as well as top earner and refused point blank to include him near the matchday squad as he does suit the system.

To judge who is the more astute manager you just need to look at what Rooney and Yaya have been doing this season.

The rot set in with Taggert and his vanity project signing Van Persie when he knew he only had one good season left. They must have paid him a fortune to get him and they then had to pay Rooney an even bigger amount to keep him happy. The board then virtually let him select his successor which turned out to be a disaster. They have been very poorly run for 5 years or more now.
