It's a real shame they drew Northampton and not slightly better opposition.

A loss today would really set things going, especially with Leicester on the weekend.

As it is I expect nothing but a rag win, which will see everyone act like it's all rosy again.

In the bogs at work then while i was taking a dump i heard 2 rags talkign outside, saying that "this is the best time to be a united fan, when everyone's jealousy comes out". They think we are taking the piss because of jealousy built up over the years. Deluded.

They can't really sack Mourinho. What's the back up plan? What credible manager would want to come?

But if he walks - which is entirely possible given his ego and apparent lack of enthusiasm - they are well and truly fucked. Ask yourself, who is the next man in?

There is a small part of me that hopes they win tonight and it papers over the cracks; they go up against Leicester and play the same system and get beat

Let's be honest here, united losing against Northampton would be absolutely hilarious; but a defeat to Leicester will be far more detrimental to united (and beneficial to us) than being knocked out of the league cup by a minnow

I never thought I'd ever write something defending Mourinho but here goes. "Why do Manchester United continue to get off scot-free?' in the Daisy Cutter.
But you know, from your own experience of being told to amend articles, why they get off scot-free. With journalists being judged by the number of hits, rather than the quality of their writing, why would they risk writing a story that their single biggest constituency (armchair rags) probably wouldn't read?

They are however beholden to people like Mendes and Paul Stretford, who feed them tasty titbits from time to time. So they do print what they want to get into the public domain.

Why not both?
