Think Griezmann would be a very good signing for them.. covered the second most distance in the champions league for the 2nd year running(behind Koke)(Bernardo Silva 4th this year). so the graft is the last few years Mourinho 101 added to his obvious quality.

Thing is has he played as a lone striker before? always has Torres/Gameiro to play off? So if Mourinho is going to get the best out of him he'd have to play him up front with Ibrahimovic/Rashford and that'd mean he'll have to take the defensive shackles off the team?

That was confirmed this morning. They had appealed and the appeal has failed. I think in reality it means he will go for his release clause value. Pretty sure he will be a rag by the end of the window.
 
Atletico won't be in a rush to sell anyone if they have a ban on incomings particularly not their talisman obvs...

Griezman has gone on about how much he loves Athletico for a long time. If he leaves now in their hour of need then it makes him look very bad.....who knows if he cares about that. The Lacazette deal is also now off so the pressure is on Griezman to help out Athletico and show how much he actually does love his club....is there any loyalty left in football...haha!!!!.

They've just pulled out of trying to sign him. Briefed their friends in the press.
