I just found them forthright and honest, rather than worrying. Sometimes it takes a senior player to call things out. Might be the kick up the arse that some players need ahead of a derby.

When as team players won the league last two seasons suppose it does get harder to keep motivating yourself! We are spoiled but like you say this might just be the words the team need! Think the main older squad who have won everything are desperate for the champs league and in there mind it’s the one they want! I keep saying 21 games to go in the league is a lot of games!

    • Manchester United have lost more Premier League home games against Manchester City than they have versus any other opponent (8), while no side has beaten the Red Devils more often overall in the competition than City (18, level with Chelsea and Liverpool).
    • City are looking to complete the Premier League double over United for the sixth time, which would be more often than any other side in the competition's history (Liverpool also five).
    • United have conceded 12 goals in their past three Premier League meetings with City, including six in their meeting at Etihad Stadium in October. It's as many goals as they'd shipped against City in their 12 previous meetings combined.
    • This will be Pep Guardiola’s 500th game of his top-flight managerial career - he has won 379 of his 499 games to date (76% - D68 L52), with this the most wins and best win rate (100+ games) of any manager in Europe’s big-five leagues since Guardiola’s first top-flight season in 2008-09.

    • Stats will tell you anything but they won't half add weight to bragging rights if we win at the Theatre of Dark Arts.

Our record at Old Trafford under Guardiola is outstanding really. Six wins, one draw and two defeats in nine games (and one of those defeats was a relatively meaningless early Carabao game where he played the kids).

They have to have the ball to hurt us, we will dominate and they will be overrun again, we just have to defend well in their little pockets of possession. If we are on it we win.

The way Gundo played the other night, my midfield 3 would be KDB, Rodri and Bernie and front three of Foden, Haaland and Alvarez
Season too far for Gundo, imo, should have left on a high at the end of last season. His engine has gone.
