Can I just point out that Kent has many advantages lacking in Bury?

It's a beautiful county with lots of chocolate box scenery and really lovely country pubs.

It has the high speed javelin train to St. Pancras meaning you could stay close to Ebbsfleet International train station and from there be in St Pancras in 18 minutes. If you wanted to go to the Emirates it's just a 10 minute tube journey from St Pancras.

So, staying in Kent should you wish to visit the Emirates is a highly sensible thing to do.

Yes, I live in Kent and support Charlton so I know what I'm talking about. Just saying, mind.

Kent is very much the poor relation of Sussex and Dorset when it comes to village scenery and lovely country pubs. Also there are places in Kent that are rougher than Bury. Dover is a thoroughly depressing place, for example.

I am a manc living in kent, so i take it you have never been to thanet or medway or dover etc i wouldnt feel safe there ............ yes kent has some nice places if you, move from london with lots of money you can live in them.......i live in thanet and places like cliftonville are no go areas, broadstairs after dark not good,..........i work in medway, Gillingham oh dear , if i had money i would like to live in the posh areas of kent and work in them to ! dont believe that the SE is well of its only the areas about 30 mile radius of london.......most of these lovely old villages are now own by londoners who bought their council house than sold them to yuppies and made thousands, moved into these villages and drove out the locals cos the house prices went through the roof !.......plus it means i now have more scum living near me now than i did in Didsbury !...sunday morning rant over think my hangover is worse than i thought lol
