The thing you [shallyman] and all the other rags who come on here seem to miss is that the majority of us detest your club and everything it stands for....and trust me that is being kind! On that basis you must understand we are not going to write pleasant things about your club and any fan's of your club are going to get a bit of a rough ride. Understand that and you might survive the ride.

The one big difference (which you seem to have missed) is that you are on a City forum. What do you expect us to do when you lot crash and burn? It's the same on RedCafe, Rawk, Glory Glory etc etc. Fans love to see their rivals lose. If I went onto Redcafe and made similar comments to the ones you've made (out of context or otherwise), I'd get slaughtered on there. And they'd be right as well. If you (generally, not you in particular) are a guest on another club's forum, I believe you shouldn't really go around pissing them off. Stick up for your club, certainly; I have no problem with that. But the little digs don't go down well.

Point taken, but Christ, some people forget that this is just a football forum somewhere in the murky depths of cyberspace. It's not life or death, just a bit of fun to pass the time. I have been a regular on a non football forum for about 10 years, but didn't even know what the term WUM meant until I came on here. If you're the sort of person who loses their head over something posted on a football forum, then you need to have a word with yourself. It's not real life, just thoughts and words on a screen.

It's always tricky when it comes to opposition fans on here. They generally take pelters, but it antagonises people when they respond in kind.

It's the same on any forum though. If you registered on a United or Liverpool forum (or any club for that matter) and were riling the locals, you'd get banned.

It's a shame that you can't really have sensible debate, but it's just how things are.

Personally not that arsed about what shallyman says myself though. I don't take him too seriously.

You know what fella – go check your own team's fan forums and see how they treat City fans... I think you'll find you get off very fucking lightly on here!
Then again, having experience of Rags on a matchday – something I don't actually think you have – a bigger bunch of despicable cunts you won't meet!

Should this place be a haven from the shit we read elsewhere? As knowledgable or reasonable as opposition fans are, personally I don't need to be reminded of that shit.

Can understand the need for debate but the reality is it only delays the inevitable. No rags ever last and rightly so coz the ones who come on here are mainly cnuts.

That depends almost entirely on how they act when they come on here Ric. Look at the likes of (with advance apologies for any spelling fuckups) Shackattack, Crouchinho, Stockport Mackem, SuperCrystal, Superseiyan, that Brentford fan we had on here for a while (WarrenBee, was it?), BlueHammer (although he did have a pop at me a few weeks back), Castiel, Chris NUFC (?); christ we've even had the odd decent rag (wasn't there one on here for a while whose son was in our academy?). None of them get fierce stick from what I remember, apart from a bit of, as the trendy, hip young dudes would say, "bantz" when we play their teams. I have no problem with seeing opposing fans on here, if they don't act like dicks. It's interesting to read a balanced view on other teams (though maybe not Leeds, eh?). I enjoy the opposition view thread that we have on here in the run up to the next game; it's a good addition to the forum. It's the sarky little digs I don't need to read. As you said, on other clubs' forums, they be kicked off for similar. Anyway; in the interest of harmony and good relations with our quiet neighbours, as well as ban avoidance, I will refrain from directly replying/quoting that nice Mr Shallyman. Is that okay ?
