For starters he wasn't the captain, Lahm was. Secondly, he's been as fit as a Chelsea pensioner for the past 18months and I don't think what he has won in the past really counts for much going forward. We also signed Fernandinho a while ago now... and he's already done enough to prove his value.

To be fair I think the wording of the bet is clever. 'All competitions' as you have no chance winning the PL surely you will prioritise the cups so Depay will play much more league cup games (assuming you don't get twatted by a lower league team again).

We all know that scoring a brace against Ipswich will once again make him a world beater. It'll also be easier for Depay to score against Europa League teams as well.

Okay, I will take the bet. Memphis Depay will achieve more goals and assists combined than Raheem Sterling in all competitions. I'll see you in May, Mr Aguero. You should start thinking now about ways in which to fill your time. Perhaps start courting or reading books instead?

I'm quite intrigued to see how this pans out for you. Depay looked excellent against a Brugge side that was awful. He's done nothing in the league so far. Sterling meanwhile has had direct attention from the opposition in every game so far and still been excellent. We need to be careful on the all competitions front, Depay will have it easier when you're in the Europa league.

Don't rise - the rags were trying to copy our Cityzone as they thought it was fantastic.

At least we save the humour for pre-match and half-time for our own fans (and visitors) - they're a continuous laughing stock on and off the pitch for the whole of the footballing world :-)

Done. They're both on two by the way. Sterling has scored against Watford and assisted against Everton. Your boy has two against a Europa league standard team.

I already said I'll take it on goals and assists combined. A much better comparison of who's the better player as it measures how many goals they're actually involved in for their team. You do realise a wingers first job is to set up goals?

I'd take what ever he is offering we will at the very least double what ever goals they score in every comp this season! Remember they won't play brugge again and that wasn't a proper champions league game so shouldn't count!
