I can't help if you're absolutely stupid - think you know more than me and the bookies?... well , the odds posted offer just the opportunity to prove your intellect. Go on, place your bet.
So the bookies were correct this time last season when united were favourites and we were second and Chelsea were 6th favourite with 36 games to go.

First Marcotti, now bookies with virtually a whole season to go. Do you ever think for yourself or do you always partake in a fallacious argument to supposed authority?

Uh what?...

Dude, they're putting money on the line - if you think they're screwed up, bet against them.
No they fucking aren't. Do you not know how odds work on a market such as this? They reflect where punters have put their tenner. United are the most supported team in the league and thus have more supporters betting on them winning.

The bookies had Leicester at 5,000/1 this time two years ago. How were their powers on divination then? For fucks sake, you're clueless on how bookies operate. They actually make more money when favourites don't win and on a market such as this, in august, they make money whatever as there are so many different choices for the average punter.

Agree about your comments about their defence and Lukaku. Valencia is nothing special good going forward but average defensively. Bailly is an excellent defender and Jones always as you say has a mistake in him.

Disagree about Pogba, he is a good player no doubt but lacks the brain to be world class. His passing is sometimes erratic and he is too selfish.
Its a lot like watching Hazard or Sanchez, there individual talent is so superior it easily overcomes whatever fundamental errors of judgments they make.

And of the 3, Pogba is the least error (or I should say "mistake of selfishness") prone.

I know he is a rag, but if am being honest, he is one of the most talented individual players I've seen in the prem.

The rags have beaten two sides that will most likely be battling relegation all season and have made themselves look good by nicking 5 of their 8 goals late on. They may or may not carry on this form but IMO we'll need to wait until at least October to have a better idea. In the meanwhile, if Mourinho insists upon playing his strongest side in every competition like last season they may well get themselves another League Cup but blow up in the league when the injuries kick in - just like last season.

You think the weakness in a Mourinho team is the defence?!? They conceded the 2nd least amount of goals last season and they'll be in & an around that area again. 54 goals was their weakness and there is no way in hell Jose is allowing that to happen again, if you look at his teams statistics in full PL seasons they never fail to score under 70 goals. 2015/16 was a massive anamoly for Mourinho, it won't happen again. They are title favourites.
I was speaking about the individual talent at each position, and not necessarily the philosophy of the team. Individually, they are weak at Fullback and CB. But I reckon they will defend an masse against top teams, hence why they'll be in it at the end.

Unfortunately we had the best team last year and came no where near winning it. I just hope we can keep the consistency where we need to be to mount a serious challenge and not be stuffed over by the horrific reffing we had last season.
We have the most talwnted team, which too often gets confused for the best team.

Barring Pellegrini's last season, we've had the most talented team 7 of the last 8 seasons.

So it doesn't mean much. We need to have the best team.

And as the proverb says - your money will be soon departed.

And to make this crystal clear - which shouldn't be necessary to an intellectual giant like you - but just for the common folk who may be following this thread -
I agree with the bookies - We are favorite to win the title - but United are very strong. Any slip up may cost us.
I repeat - oh dear

Been thinking about this '3 games a week' malarkey. Isn't it one game at the weekend and one during the week? If you're doing well then there may be a fixture log at the end of April

Occasionally, a team will play Sunday- Wednesday-Saturday, but that won't happen very often, especially the rags, as they are Sty darlings and will, more often than not be featured on Super Sunday for the armchair hoardes.

So the "three times a week" bollocks is just that.

people are shitting about them too much and too early. I'll wait until New Year to see what they are about. I've seen they rosy moments last few years fair few times and they had gray ones more often. I'm still not convinced that team has a quality all around to win big.

Sorry mate but that is utter nonsense. Pure hyperbole. bergkamp, Henry, Zola, silva, aguero, yaya, lampard, Suarez , scholes*spit* and many more piss all over him. His first season in the premier league was littered with errors, many unforced.

Christ all mighty Dax. What the hell is wrong with you man, have you lost your fucking mind?

Exactly. They've played nearly double the amount of pre season games so I'd expect them to be flying at this stage especially versus dross. Most of the other teams are a week or two away from full fitness. I'm dreading this Everton game as it's a similar story with them being a week ahead of us.

Yeah one of them said to me at work Sunday with a big grin on his face, "we're top of the league" yeah I replied, you, West Brom and Huddersfield, we'll see how long it lasts !
