When your worried that the penny might finally have dropped and they realise it’s not all about managers throwing boots at your stars or sending Giggs round to sort your mrs out, they come out with belters like this ... there decades away from becoming significant again ..


Guardiola motivates feck all. He just buys a stacked team and pits the players against each other until one comes out on top (Sterling vs Sane, Aguero v Jesus, B.Silva vs De Bruyne). Klopp on the other hand is a motivator, one of the best motivators in the business unfortunately.

I’m hoping this mentality runs through there structure for a long time to come ..
 
funny thought just occurred to me.... you know how they show the Rooney overhead shin in montages? Why not the Best goal in the European Cup Final? Why not McIlroy's Pearson chest in for the FA Cup final.....................??? Could it be the TV desperately hanging on to some sort of as recent as they can find relevance...??? Surely not !! Lol
 
The great thing is that last season, at our worst and their best, they were just about a match for us. This season, even our worst, like our first half performance, is probably more than good enough to beat them.

The rag board must know that, just a few weeks after appointing him permanently, he's already a dead man walking. Do they give him serious money to spend this summer? They'd be mad to. They'll either decide quickly that they've made a mistake and ditch him at the end of this season or give him a token few games next season before pulling the trigger. They've got 6 points in the 5 games since he was given the job permanently. That's 1.2 points per game, which would give them 46 points next season if repeated. That won't even get them top half, let alone top four.
