This is simply a cynical ploy by the rags to cosmetically disguise the actual attendance they're going to get. How many kids will venture to the swamp on a dark and cold school night? The rags don't care. They'll just add in all the freebies to the 'official' attendance even though most won't be used. They've got previous for this too. The word on the street was that they gave away 17,000 free tickets to schools and universities for the Astana game and added them to the official attendance even most remained unused.

Not wishing to appear to be pedantic but it is actually a proven figure of 695 million which means 1 in every 11 people in the world are utd fans.
