@Mike Cledford When the love in was in full flow I pulled out of the thread and refused to reply.
They are registered in a tax haven, paying diddly squat at a time when the NHS/Government need tax revenue. Despite 800 million being spent they are 5th. Their big star is being paid by the Rags to wander round Italy whilst their second biggest one doesn't want to play but has no choice. Their keeper and star defender have just been thrown under the bus that Keane wouldn't allow them to get on and there is no light at the end of the tunnel that says they will improve. So, whilst I accept Sir Marcus may have decided himself to undertake this campaign, to me it smacks of the PR department cobbling together the whole thing and a compliant media spewing it out.

Yes. People fell for it hook line and stinker. It was a highly successful short campaign. So much so that at times l felt a bit churlish with so many posters in here praising him without looking at the very short 5 day history of the campaign. Now yesterdays news untll every time United play.
If it had been fronted by Raheem it would have got nowhere firstly because our PR set up is not much cop but mainly because the BBC would not have interviewed him 3 possibly 4 times in 5 days and the rest would not have have jumped on the bandwagon for the Crusade of St Marcus.
