Funny isnt getting giddy over a competition that the 16 best teams in Europe are to good for.
Only the British press/media could big this up ! Utd not in the top 16 Europeon clubs, and might win a competition their didnt start in.
So not good enough for the main event, just in to make up the numbers, but just good enough not to be in micky mouse cup to start with. Once you have served the purpose of making uo the numbers in the champions league and it now gets serious, utd can fuck to their standard in the Micky mouse cup.
Come on Gordon, cut them some slack..

They've only spent half a billion on that team and have given the manager's job to a guy who used to put the inserts in the Sunday papers before shoving them through various letterboxes..

They're punching well above their weight at the moment, helped by their cheating, diving players..

It all about levels when it comes to European football and the rags bar just happens to be lower that the Mariana Trench..

I could post this in the footballs bent thread but..... 3 bookings for the rags so all now miss the home tie, but it means they are available for the semi final. Did they get booked on purpose?
If they did perhaps they assumed they would win the match easily.... But it was only 1-0 on 90 minutes hmmmmm and the rest as they say is history

Exactly what they've done.

Wonder if Gill had any input into the decision the winner goes into pot 1 ?
Should be pot 3 at best given that's the group position they attained to qualify for the competition.
Pot 4. Crazy that a team wins this Mickey Mouse cup with very poor quality of opposition and if dropped out from the CL then hardly any games to play to win it can go into a higher pot than teams finishing 2nd in a much tougher, longer, domestic league

That was my thought last night, they seem to escape cards more than any other team and given this round v Grenada was pretty much a bye into the semi’s , it is strange of how all of a sudden they are getting booked to wipe out suspensions for later rounds

BBC Breakfast just showing the actual penalty kick.
The goalies attempt to save reminded me of the half time entertainment at grounds when a little kid kicks it and the goalie dramatically dives over the ball and it goes in. Kid and parents go away happy and the kid gets a big cheer.

Sign the kids up if they managed to get it on target.

I truthfully believe that is not their standard - they're not even good enough for that. They are where they currently are simply because that tyrannical despot is still manipulating things behind the scenes.
Kim-jong Pisscan is still in charge at the swamp, of that I truly believe. Nothing else makes sense. The club were in total freefall when the bully 'retired' and that is why he -and he alone- insisted on Gollum taking over, knowing full well he'd be a catastrophe and thus not be a threat to his legacy. But nobody foresaw just how bad things were at the swamp, and of course just how bloody fantastic we have become: so the Glazers pulled some strings, alongside Gill and the Govan soak (and more than a little overly-generous help from Riley and the pigmol gang) in the hope the whole rotten edifice can be rebuilt again - corrupt brick by corrupt brick.

The cartoonish penalties that club have been given in the recent few years would not in any way shape or form have been given if the old guard weren't still overseeing things there.
When they needed those points to ensure CL football and were thus given more contentious decisions than any other club, that's when I was 100% convinced that the tyrant was back.

The rag hierarchy and its oppressive grip on English football never went away, he just wanted a brief holiday.
