There’s an argument to be had that Rashford has the largest disparity between hype and reality there’s ever been for a player.

Beckham was massively overhyped (I remember that Silly Sally off BBC Breakfast one morning saying that Beckham was the best footballer of all time!) but he was still a very good player.

Rashford is massively overhyped but he isn’t even good. He’d be a good shout for a team like Palace. But if you ask Silly Sally who the best English players are, I bet he’d be mentioned.
Something is going on with Rashford. Still think there is a player in there. I would buy him for the positive PR alone.

They are fucked.

shaw not good enough
Wan bassaka
Maguire getting older and not amazing
Bailey always injured
Mata needs to go
Matic shite and old
Greenwood in the shit
Rashford really struggling
Cavani can’t wait to leave
Lingard on his way
Ronaldo 38 next
Jones shite and needs to go

Huge turnover of players needed - don’t care how good the new manager is they can’t do it.

No champions league and budget will be impacted. Ground needs knocking down and whole mood around the club is flat. Long may it continue. Love the slow death approach they are experiencing.

My mate wants them to remain bobbling about irrelevantly in mid table for eternity.
As for me, well, I want them to drop at least a division lower than we managed and ultimately go bankrupt.
That's my dream anyway...
The problem of united going bankrupt would be a Phoenix club (see rangers) rising again, with no debts, many lifelong rich united fan investors, a ground and facilities handed over for minimal amount etc.

as long as they are a going concern, just, then they aren’t going to get back to ‘where united should be(!)’, and will slowly drift down to being lower/middle team in the PL.
Sadly, if they ever got relegated, I think they’d fold, and rise phoenix like (with aforesaid no debt)

The problem with Rashford is that City sign a handful of kids per season from South America with his raw talent, and even there is no guarantee they'll break through. It's nice that he's a local lad, and even through the PR of it all, seems a decent bloke. I could have a beer with him. And both things give you an edge breaking through, but in raw talent terms there is a point where the South American kid is just as good.

Great point. A next Everton would be great.
