Although the fee was officially undisclosed, it was reported to be worth an initial £75 million, plus £15 million in add-ons.

Probably didn't meet all the add-ons in the two seasons he was there.

Rooney was a free transfer. More likely so Everton could pay his wages, rather than a direct sweetener to the Lukaku deal.
