No one can explain this game as anything other than corruptly officiated. I don't think Arsenal ever recovered from it as they were reigning champions and haven't won the title since.

This bloke is in charge of referees for a very good reason. It’ll surely come out one day.

Fair point.

I was born in 1986 and went to my first City game in 1990, and started secondary school in 1997. I do have a working theory that any United fan between the age of 25 and 50 legitimately has no idea how to lose consistently in anything resembling a normal way. They have neither the gallows humour of City or even the over the top romanticism and nostalgia that Liverpool used to have. They're a proper weird group.

Agree but I think " pathetic " is an essential when describing them.

so many I have spoken to ( spit and wash out mouth ) have claimed that George Best was the reason that they follow the shite, despite the fact that none of them are old enough to have actually seen him play !

Liars and frauds who are really sheep who started following them when the Govan Bully was there and winning things.

Utter cunts most of them imo.

I remember saying at the time that they've made a rod for their own backs by having statues and even a stand named after the pisscan. One day, in the not too distant future the world will hear all about what really went on with him and Webb/Dean/Riley/Clattenburg and the rest during his despotic reign. If there is even a mere hint that corruption took place the club will surely want to distance themselves from his name.
And let's be under no illusion that something sinister was happening during that time. Way way too many favourable decisions went in their favours for it to be mere coincidence. We can all remember the numerous occasions when a highly questionable penalty was given for them to save the day, or a blatant penalty against them denied. Naturally Sly and the others laughed off 'fergie time' and anything else that went on where it was obvious they were being helped. But there will come a time when serious questions will be asked about the relationship between the pisscan, Gill and a lot of former Prem referees.
It would be nice but I’m not holding my breath. There may well be a few Autobiographies from the said Refs hinting at things but even if they did spill the beans the MSM would basically either ignore it or do a Hatchet Job on the Author. There’s no chance of any kind of investigation into things by the FA/ Premier League etc because there’s no way they would want to risk tarnishing the EPL Brand.

I'd like Spurs to win by a couple but with plenty of excuses for the rags to keep the gnome in a job
The grass was too long.
The lines were too wide.
Too much wind.
It's a new ground and they weren't used to it.
Ref forgot to give dodgy penalties.
City have never scored there and they are the best team in the world, so getting nil is a good result.

Is that you Jurgen?

I agree, basically it must be over 30 years since they finished below 6th place in the top league in England. I can't think of another team that that applies to. Every other fan in the country knows more about losing than they do and this is why they throw their dummies out as soon as they feel they are struggling.

Self entitled twats.

There is no greater pleasure known to man that seeing the Rags crushed and humiliated. However, tactically, it might be better for us if they do quite well in the next two, the OGS keeps his job. And we hurt them all the more by winning 8-0.

I just hope Pep takes the Derby seriously for once. If only Mancini could come back for a couple of days, or the spirit of Malcolm Allison. They really hated the Rag twats.

You have to laugh that the Rags are now up in arms about the billionaire who looks like he may be taking a big stake in West Ham, claiming the Premier League is just becoming a billionaires playground.

All the while forgetting that they were purchased by the Billionaire Glazer, if you listen to them you could be forgiven for thinking they are spirited underdogs who have battle to the top table with no resources.

I can't think of any scenario where a new manager is in place for when they play us next week, they won't want a "new dawn" starting by facing us. For what it's worth I don't think they will lose today or midweek and little Ole will still be there next weekend.

I secretly quite like the fact that Pep doesn't give a shit about them. He's a born winner, if they were remotely a threat he'd be as animated as he is at Anfield every year. Shows how far off they are, even if I do get why some City fans would prefer him to have that fight for them.

It's had the international break written all over it for weeks now. If he stays beyond that then the club is more deluded than I thought they were.

I was working with a lad today for only the second time - first time was yesterday - so I didn’t know much about him.

As we left the office, I said to him, that I wanted to be in Manchester by 3:00.

"What for?" he asked.
"Football," I replied.
"Un*t*d?"
"There’s only one team in Manchester."
"There’s only one team in Manchester."
"I support *n*t*d"
"What’s wrong with Bradford?"
"I used to go to Bradford, but…"
"They weren’t winning and *n*t*d were?"

Cue laughing.

I then added, "If you were a *n*t*d fan, you’d know that they weren’t at home this weekend."
"Oh yeah, they’re at Tottenham"

He later told me that he’d met Paddy Kenny, and talked to him about THAT game, when he was playing for QPR. He said Kenny was gutted, as he’s a rag and was desperate for them to win the title that season.
