It's more about the work rate he puts in than his actual skill. He did a lot of running around closing down which helped them. With lady boy in he can put the ball into the net, but are effectively playing with 10 men without the ball. Reminds me of that Notorious B.I.G. song Mo Money, Mo Problems.

They've been sold the dream that if they slavishly follow a football club they have no connection with that they will be guaranteed success.

Gundogan delivered a preemptive kick to his ankle early on in the first half. After that he was fairly quiet and not at his usual annoying self. Gundogan seems to have an unexpectedly nasty side to him. He had gotten into a tussle with the perpetually 17 year old midfielder during the CL game against Dortmund when he was showing attitude. I hope Gundogan would do the same and more often later in the season.

It's aimed at filling a gap in the lives of sad shits who have no mates and will never ever go and watch a game.

So for those that are watching, these people are their "mates" and this is them "at the game".

It's why it is so popular for the rags and liverpool in particular, brand/product driven clubs that have a special attraction for those that live fake plastic lives in a make-believe plastic world.

Fucking hell. I couldn't tell you one thing about David Silva's personal life, and yet he's one of our most loved players ever. It's almost as if some players can do their talking on the pitch and others need a social media management company to cover for the fact that they're shit.

Having said that, some people in the comments are claiming this guy isn't earning his paycheque. Are they taking the piss? Look at Marcus Rashford's reputation despite not playing well for about 2 years. The guy is clearly working overtime polishing some of the turds in that squad.

Yes very strange, was he actually there or had he gone off to tap up the Norwich guy? Maybe he just went to Brentford anyway following some random green & yellow scarves.
