Could they afford to sack him? Not only from a financial point of view but also from the resulting publicity. They are already in a very very bad place and binning Ten Bob might be more hassle than they need right now.

My own view is that they should keep him: he is doing a wonderful job and I'd hate to see someone competent take over.
We said that when Ole was in charge but nothing has changed.
Appoint a manager, overhype him to fuck, fans get giddy and claim "they're back" back the new man to the hilt financially with transfer fees and wages, blame the owners when he's shit, we worry they will sack the manager and replace him with someone competent, they sack the manager then replace hin with someone else then rinse and repeat over and over again.
They really are the gift that keeps on giving.

A favourite of mine with rags, is how they’ve fallen out of love with the game , usually around the time they finished winning anything of worth how fortunate eh .
I bet they also say that money has ruined the game too without a hint of irony or self awareness.

Weird team Bayern, they looked better playing us for the first 45 minutes at the Etihad 6 months ago than they did last night. They didn’t move the hall as quick, you do wonder if signing Kane has slowed them down a little. They didn’t control the game last night and went through the gears when they wanted to score.
Screamed of game management.
That was the only way Utd would compete.
If it was a decider. Then Bayern would have been out of sight at half time.

I thought Kane was really good. Left gaps and created space for Sane and the others.
His passing was shocking at times though.

Dropped PR7 for leaving the ground for 1 game then gave him the captaincy on his return

Made Rat face captain, not exactly a leader

Abandoned his tactics after a few games and just went hoof ball like all before

Loses it live on air with him coming out during the after commentary v Arsenal with the weird angle theory re the offside goal

Got lucky getting Rags back into the CL, got lucky winning the Carabo with an easy run and some dubious officiating in the final.

Have i missed any baffling decisions\actions by him

I think there's a bit of fear across Europe when it comes to PL teams. Even with united! And I think that's we saw for the first period last night with bayern. When they lost that fear (it was united) they played them off the park imo.

United were lucky to get the 3 that they did.
