exactly - what Everton fan or Bolton supporter or even a Gateshead FC fan who works and pays taxes has an interest in those taxes building a new Swamp for them to allow to fall into disrepair anyway? Or does he expect us all to maintain it for them too?
Indeed, does the tax payer also pay for upkeep, I’m sure the FA will pay for its own upkeep. I was miffed my tax went to pay for Wemberlee and handing West Am a stadium, I’ll be raging if my money went to the rags. Can’t imagine anyone south of the border wants to pay for a new Hampden or Pittodrie. The once richest club in the world, owned by billionaires shouldn’t need a penny. It might work in the NFL and other yank sports but they can F off here. And if it was City I’d be against it too, this transcends club affiliation.

This is manchester yyyooouuuunited though.
That ground holds national importance.
Players like Beckham and Ryan giggs have played there.
It's on a par with big Ben and the houses of Parliament

Not putting his picture on here for obvious reasons, but saw a guy I went to school with on Facebook who went to the scum game last night in full kit and shin pads. Unreal
