Yes, I agree with that. Pep is considered to be the very best manager and coach in world football. So that everyone wants to take a bite at you. That's what I think Arteta was doing. He was working with Pep to learn as much about his ways as he could. Then he went to Arsenal to beat Pep with that what he had learned about and from him. I thought that was and still is very pathetic too. He could have gone to a different league, not to Arsenal and to a direct competitor.

Transfer market also works like that. Others try to figure out what targets the most successful clubs have and then they try to spoil or usurp.
Who gave Arteta the Job at City? He didn't just wander into the training ground one morning looking for a start.
Where was he always likely to gravitate to if he left us ? Munich or Madrid, no Arsenal was always a predictable destination. I don't see anything pathetic about that. I assume his relationship with Pep was a two way street to a significant extent, and I'm sure Pep found it a largely beneficial relationship which was always likely to end if a major job offer arose for his assistant.

I am not a Man City fan and I don't know about Arteta's time at the club. I just see now what he is doing. And I totally disagree with what you have written here. If my club were to have the best manager in world football, with best and most-dominant tactics, then I would certainly not want him to get an understudy that works closely under him for some years only to then go to a rival club. Just my personal opinion.

I'm pretty sure City were pissed off at Arteta over the way and destination of his leaving, but let's be honest, that's the same risk with any member of the coaching team at any club. Most of them are looking to improve and try out the 'big chair' at some point

w
Spanked their brats (and Malacia who I'm happy to report is still absolutely fucking shit) 4-1 last night in the piss pot trophy. Not quite the real thing, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'd celebrate beating their under 5s if I had to, the scum bastards.
What level was this thanks

Yes, but very shrewd owners and business operations do not allow for that. And take great precautions. It is the same thing in the business world. A huge part of the purpose of the so-called "partner-system" system in the business world is exactly that. Weeding out the potential and the possibility of somebody important going to a competitor. Hence, that process works in such a way so as to decrease that potential and possibility as someone's importance within the firm rises. And a huge part of that is access to critical knowledge and information. yadda yadda...You don't get to see or know things before and unless you can be counted on not leaving for a competitor.

We mustn't have very shrewd owners or business operators then, because a number of our people appear to get head-hunted.
Still winning though (most weeks)
