Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

The manager or captain needs to say something along the lines of "no matter what the players have won in the past, no matter hwo good or bad they are, derby day is about being the best and rising to the occassion" [that has for many years passed on by for us until the last season at Maine Road... since then we've more than held our own.] "If you don't give it all, don't bleed blue and can't want to bounce back after a slump in form against an average league side like U****d then why're you at City?"

Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

I'm expecting

2 changes to the back 4

Fernando to partner toure in midfield

Silva to play on the wing

Bony and Aguero upfront

Pellergrini to be sacked Monday morning if we lose

Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

I'm gutted to say it, after recent performances I can only see a rag win. The media will be lording the rags up for a historic win, quoting our spending blah blah blah. Have they forgotten the price of Di Maria / Falcao?
MP's days are few, and may be considerably less if he loses this derby.
So begins the battle for 5th.

Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

Wouldn't be the first time we go into a derby game on the back of a defeat,in recent derbies we have came out on top each time some convincingly, the law of averages probably says they are due a win,so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they won but can see this ending in a draw 2.2..

Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

It's already been said, but I'm of the same thinking. For the first time in years, I'm bricking this Derby, fearing a real humiliation. Last night did nothing to convince me otherwise, that's the worst thing, I have zero confidence whenever this team plays this season. As people have pointed out, up until a few months ago the rags have been poor, and rode their luck. However facts are facts, and for me they are the better side at the moment. Hope I'm wrong, but unfortunately this time, I don't see anything other than a City defeat.
