Steve McMahon as a pundit for Fox sports out of Singapore is at the Etihad live for the game today and has just made the following comment before kick off regarding City's failure to defend the league:
"I shared a car to the ground with Mark Lawrenson and he told me some of the City players attitude this season in training has been poor, standing around doing nothing and not looking interested"

Now this might only go out to the SE Asia viewers but none the less these are the type of comments that are repeated parrot fashion and broadcast worldwide.

I am in agreement, I'm quite sure Lawrenson rarely knows what day it is let alone details of our training sessions. Chances are he's read 'training ground bust up' in a shit paper like the Daily Mail and has decided that means we don't train and just play fight all day.

Yeah, how many times as the useless piece of effluence stood on the training ground. He's probably looked at one or two videos off the OS and saw some standing about. Bit disappointed in McMahon if he's said this. I enjoyed watching him after he joined us, and he gave us a good couple of seasons. Maybe he's a bitter red bin dipper and just thinks that we have contributed to their lack of CL football the last 3 years.
