I never got the Joy Division love,far too depressing.New Order i got completely - brilliant band.

They’re very different really and it’s about personal preference.

The lyrics to Joy Division songs are really up there with anyone’s.

What you have is a manic depressant projecting his downfall into music.

It’s quite beautiful and tragically sad equally.

A brilliant, brilliant album. But nowhere near as good as Closer.

Closer is brilliant in its own right, but there’s a rawer beauty to Unknown Pleasures, for me at least. Tough choice though. Almost like asking to choose who is your favourite child.
