Thanks for the info Spursmad, I've always thought this was nailed on, was there any truth in the fact Upson and Distin were looked at as alternatives? Also any news on outgoings? Petrov to yourlot for example.

We sold Elano because he and Hughes clashed, he wasn't going to get regular first team football (which he doesn't react well to) and we needed space in the squad to give Johnson and Weiss opportunities.

Petrov hasn't left.

Petrov's not been sold yet. Your not talkin about that Benfica article are you? Elano is no great loss in terms of squad depth. We currently have 6 players who have played at centre mid in our first team squad and 3 who can play off a striker.
