It was trialed in the Women’s World Cup. Seems a bit pointless to me, but the crowd seemed to like it.

It was from much further away and his arm was fully outstretched.

I don’t like seeing them given as penalties, but it was more of one than the Grealish one, imho.

That’s true and it might be the rule but the player was looking in the opposite direction and had no idea where the ball was. Contrast to Al Ahly pen where he was looking right at it.

It is hard to review every handball in minutiae and get consistency.

That shouldn’t have been a penalty as it’s obvious he didn’t mean it and it didn’t stop any form of attack happening, but had there been another player about to volley the ball behind him, then that accidental handball has stopped a shot on goal and therefore should be a penalty.
