I'm sure there is something very dodgy with this whole Dominion thing. The Crazy Gang seemed certain that 'something' would be found to prove their claims.

It almost seems like they've been f*cked over by someone.
I'm put in mind of the last time they were certain that something would be found.

From a lovely family film about a guy who had to leave the astronaut program for family reasons and built a rocket in his barn. The FAA investigates:

Is Lori Lightfoot aka Lori Lighthead on borrowed time?

We all knew Cuomo was a fraud when the pandemic response truisms he was responsible for came to light if not well before and when your are lauded by the elite you are cactus but this Mayor has lost control of the two things she ran her platform on namely education and crime.

its funny but not surprising that the darling of New York has been ditched by his own fair weather friends quicker than he make a video of himself spinning his usual BS and Lori is in the same play.

When your own police force at least what's left of it as early retirements escalate don't want a bar of you and she still wants to decrease the budget its time to go.

Up until now covid has given her a leave pass but Lori you are just not up to the job so go gracefully if you can call it that or go and get another haircut in breach of covid rules while the hairdressers are next in lockdown like before.

It's a satire on British drinking culture. Probably why it's very popular in the UK with some thinking it's a genuine tribute to British pisstanks.

:)
Sorry, my bad — the whole record “Tubthumper” I mean. “Amnesia”, “Scapegoat”, “Drip Drip Drip”, “Mary Mary” — all of it. Pretty pointed political commentary and it sounds great.

Yes — I always do that — I do get a kick out of the song Tubthumping but it’s the whole record Tubthumper I love.
Just found Bigga’s review of the album

Chumbawamba are a band I heard of on-and-off when I read heavily about anarcho-syndicalism as a purer version of Trotskyism as a young adult.

I long knew about anarchist punk bands but remain sceptical of their music, yet it shocks me to know this supposedly “anarchist punk” band had put out what I have always remembered as one of the very worst and most generic examples of late-1990s dance-pop music. “Tubthumping”’s terrible “I get no doubt” line has given me as many headaches as any other line of any song in my four decades of life. It was in this period that I ceased listening to pop radio as the songs got more and more tuneless and annoyingly overblown.

The rest of Tubthumping is similarly generic dance-pop with a highly mechanical production and every cliché from the “dance music” chart books of the time described. The vocals are an imitation of such “Eurodance” as Corona and La Bouche, and it is simply impossible to change that into something worthwhile.

All in all, Tubthumping remains the epitomy of the worst of the 1990s.
