There is no forced majority here. Manchin is anti-abortion and is from a state which has already passed a law that will ban all abortions as soon as Roe v Wade is repealed.

The thing about the leak is…it doesn’t actually matter. It’s not a crime. Roberts is going to ask the FBI to investigate which is unbeleiveably dumb because if they catch someone the worst that can happen is…nothing. Maybe an ethics issue if it was leaked by a lawyer.

There’s only about 20 people who could leak it so I suspect they’ll be found, but I don’t think it’s a given it’s a liberal and not a bragging conservative or a conservative who actually cares about the law who is outraged with Alito just erasing 75 years of law on a whim with nothing to base it on.

The leaker is highly unlikely with the conservatives. Loose lips or not. And the implications that Ginny will have a copy is silly at best. Talk less leaking it. It's either a Justice ( most likely one of the 3ob the left) or a clerk or lowly worker with a pro abortion bent.


It was most likely leaked by someone who was against the proposition and wanted as much dust kicking about it to commence.

It's most likely NOT Thomas. He is the least likely of all the Justices.

I agree with you on the absurdity of the abortion stance, particularly in cases of rape. There’s actually a clause in the new Texas law (and soon to be many other States) that says relatives of the rapist could actually sue the victim if she had an abortion. It certainly feels like a return to the dark ages

Not unlikely at all as explained by someone with more of an idea than either of us.
