Why Is CPAC Having a Conference Next Month in Budapest?

Judging by the lack of response to this post - perhaps I should explain.

CPAC - The Conservative Political Action Conference - is an annual meeting of American conservatives sponsored by the American Conservative Union. CPAC is an extremely influential conference and serves as a measure of up-to-date, conservative American views.

That CPAC is to be held this week in Hungary, a country under the grip of ultra-rights and led by Orban - speaks volumes; Hungary is on the cusp of becoming a totalitarian far right state, where voting is pro-forma but actual voting doesn't matter - the outcome will be pre-decided in favor of Orban.

And to Hungary the American conservatives go next week, seeking inspiration.
