I’m not your news service!

He said there were far more cancer deaths than people saved from polio, so the “cost-benefit” was AGAINST giving the vaccine!

Personally, I’d like to see the evidence that led to his conclusion, too!
Either you haven't watched the clip or you are pretending not to understand what he said.

So let me get this straight, you have an issue with him saying we ought to study the long term effects of the drugs and vaccines we use?

Coz that's all he said there. I Notice O'dumbell quickly switched to attacking him personally.

He even used the now popular and 'very effective' "convicted felon" line. Look at how well that worked the last time :)
More people died from soft tissue cancers than the polio vaccine saved? Evidence? Or just throwing out baseless theories?

I get all that. Chomsky wouldn’t be what I would call a Dem or a Rep.
He’s done a critique of every president and government, your foreign policy and contemporary capitalism and corporate influence on political institutions since the 1960’s.
You should see the interview he did 8 years ago regarding Trump for President.
Astonishingly enough, far from jumping to conclusions about him, although he obviously doesn’t rate him as any sort of thinker, but he was very accurate in a lot of his predictions of where American politics was heading.

I’m taking it, that you don’t rate him much, however.
Chomsky? No I don't. He is a part of that intellectual class of individuals that mistake their intellectual musings for reality.

Obviously has a high IQ. But he too often pontificates on issues and ideas he clearly lacks any real.world experience in. What's his area of formal expertise again? Linguistics?

Yes you are right, I often find him grating... But since I find you totally enjoyable and since you like him, I'll give him one more go...

Mind pointing me in the direction of the interview from 8 years ago.? Let me give it a view, as I'm always happy to be proved wrong.

I’ll see if I can dig it out for your amusement.

Did what? What was the thing that they are going to break that we'd have to fix.

Other than insurrection and believing Article I was a free ticket? Maybe nuking hurricanes? Buying Denmark or trading it for Puerto Rico? How many clusterfucks do you want me to list??? I haven’t even talked about the fraud, sex crimes, or election interference!

As for Manchin and Senema acting like senators and applying leverage, what's the news there?

There’s applying leverage and lining your own pockets at the expense of the country with a 50/50 Senate. Opportunistic cunts!

I understood what he said, with no evidence.
Polio vaccine works on polio but “soft tissue” cancers are of greater number than polio vaccine saves, ergo…

Oh I see. You think jokes and words are clustefucks. Fair enough, it must be why the world was on the brink of WW3 under Trump...

Oh wait...

Hence why we have a problem with him in the role. Amazing how science works, ain’t it?
He didn't bring receipts to a specific interview. Again, he didn't say he was against the vaccine. He is saying, can we , as part of our protocol, study the long term effects of vaccines?

It might end up being a net positive or a wash. The least we can do is know.

I had a look on YouTube and found a 25 minute Al Jazeera interview with full context of what I remember. Obviously snippets of interesting stuff for me but really don’t think you’d like him any better tbh.

Found this interview about his linguistic theories that you may like more.

Edit:
If you like that one Dax there’s another short one from 11 years ago regarding stupid people in power.
You’d love it.

The world is on the brink of World War III???

Maybe, if the US appeases every strong man dictator, giving them carte blanche to stroll into any country they want for any reason they deem suitable, it can be avoided? while standing in front of him.

Heck, you don’t even have to “look into his eyes and see his soul” or tell the world “I believe him over my own National Security Advisors, and why wouldn’t I?”
I know, let’s tell the world you want out of NATO and that you might not exercise Artivle 5 unless you feel like the country deserves it!

I’m not in FAVOR of WWIII, but wars are fought for a reason, and if the reason is worthwhile, I see no reason to give in to bullies and tyrants, do you, Mr Chamberlain?

Brink of WWIII!!! Hahaha! I had to check it was almost Christmas and not early spring!!

Taking a Sharpie to a hurricane map just to 'prove he was right'?

So we haven’t studied the long-term effects of vaccines already, is what you and he are saying.

I refer both of you to my earlier post. If you think rrrrreeeeaaaaallllll hard you might be able to figure the problem out.

So Biden commutes sentences of 37 federal death row prisoners as he's against the Death Penalty.

Yet he's responsible for the mass slaughter of Tens of thousands of kids in Gaza.

I hope this bastard is haunted every night when his head hits the pillow.

It's just about preserving his "legacy". He'd stopped the the execution and that would count for nothing if Trump reversed the moratorium.

The guy doesn't even know what day it is, half the time. I'm not sure he has enough marbles left to feel guilt.

One thing I’ve noticed is that ‘Left’ is a dirty word in America. What we would regard as Liberal Socialism or whatever, maybe just social consciousness, tends to be branded as almost Communism.

It’s a way of branding someone as an enemy of the state, when they point out uncomfortable inequalities or advocate transparency, honesty and an objective view of events including historical policies.

I’d put a lot of what is deemed intellectuals or artists into that category. You speak out against the perceived American dream at your peril. It’s too easily shot down. People who see through bullshit are the enemy it seems.
