Then I'm not sure why you, on the face of it appear to be playing the 'both sides' game?

The majority of the people on this thread are anti-Trump because it's the only reasonable stance.

Oooooohhhhh the F word!! He has been in a few hours and hasn’t closed down any tv stations yet. When will he cart off those yentas on The View to a three day trip in a boxcar to a FEMA camp in Montana? Hasn’t happened? Trump OUT!!

Guess we can kiss the midterms of 2026 goodbye. Guess last November 5 was our last election then. Come on man??

Yeah and billionaires were at the soup kitchen the past 4 years. lol
No. Again as I've said many times before, any presidential candidate (democrat or republican) would get no where near running for office unless they are firmly in the pockets of billionaires. The rest is just window dressing and showbiz.

I get where you’re coming from, but plenty of legislators — who make the laws and are especially focused on district pork barrels — have a lot more immediate leverage, and plenty of them aren’t beholden to billionaires (unless you think Sanders or AOC are). I think the cozying up has less to do with direct influence and more to do with indirect influence and the “window dressing and show biz” that benefits the billionaire himself. “I just had dinner with the President” is quite the thing to say if you want to influence others. Just my take.

Maybe, but until there is some sort of cap on campaign funding any president will come into office owing too many favours to their financial backers.

There are caps — sort of — but I don’t disagree. Problem is, legislators don’t want it. Same as salary cuts, or bans on stock trading. Like asking turkeys to vote for Thanksgiving. It’s frustrating.

The only thing we're going to learn here is how low they are prepared to go. I suspect there is not bottom.
The thing the Cult hasn’t realized is that he has absolutely ZERO use for them now, and that’s exactly what they’re going to get from him…with the possible exception of a nice cool Solo cup full of Kool Aid!

He has been given literal free rein to commit crimes by SCOTUS…he is LITERALLY above the law…and is going to leverage Article 2 to the hilt.

Expect Executive Actions GALORE, and expect them to be ever more extra-judicial. They stand until challenged in court and, with the courts in his side, he will have virtual carte blanche.

He doesn’t have the power of the purse, but does have the power to move legislatively approved monies around. Expect it!

We are as close to a King as America has been since 1775, and there’s supposedly about half the country and over half the legislators in DC quite happy about it!

There is going to be utter chaos. Its sheer size will obfuscate important things being done that we miss, until they come back to bite us…much like his Cabinet picks!

On the world stage, expect appeasement disguised as strength, which is a Trump specialty. He’s already given Tik Tok back to Xi, and will now cut a deal that will funnel money back to Trump.

He is going to throw off the chains on Crypto, now that he’s got skin in the game, and will cut deals that will enrich himself and those around him. Beware the U.S. Treasury reserves!

Putin is laughing his ass off, now that he has waited out Biden & the West, and has found a great way to use the old stockpiles of dusty old armaments. As we watch the price of oil get bid up, and sanctions lifted, Putin’s personal and country coffers will swell and Trump (& Murica?) will go back to trusting him rather than our National Security apparatus.

Oh wait, he won’t even have to worry about that, as Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian sympathizer, so the news will be the same from both sides!!

Personal lawyer as Deputy AG, Little Marco as Sec of State, RFK Jr running health policy, a drunk philandering Fox News host running our National Defence…what could go wrong?!

Sorry, didn't realise I was a 'trump lover'. Yet another example of how anyone that doesn't confirm to the myopic one sided view is put in a neat little box.
I didn’t realize I said you were.

Yet another example of taking words out of context and using them as a perceived bludgeon. Sounds a tad myopic and one-sided.
