I thought you were going back to football at top speed.

You’re Nathan Ake in disguise, apparently.
You're arguing with a zealot. And, of course you know this.

For decades, Republican Americans have been indoctrinated into a cult of whatever Democrats want is pure evil and true Republicans must block every single action Democrats propose - THIS!!! is an existential matter.

My best guess - I'm not a historian and so I may be completely wrong here - is that this started circa 1980 or so with Newt Gingrich and other prominent Republicans of the time.

Fast forward to 2026... it's all about fucking Democrats. Trump is the messiah. Whatever Trump wants is good - no matter if it's 100% what I wanted before Trump said it's good - Trump hates Democrats and whatever he says goes.

I don't think I could respect a journalist more...

Well, maybe if he didn’t drop the F bomb every other sentence!

He was a very good, feet to the fire, journalist, but he cheapens himself and detracts from his credentials and any gravitas he has. He should have saved it for his last sentence, when doing the “phone call response.”

Fucking spot on! If he could only stop from saying the F-Bomb he'd be more fucking credible!!!

Maybe if he reserved such outbursts when touring, say, the Ford factory in Michigan he'd be more to your liking.

It’s not the credibility, it’s the unnecessary use, where it completely loses its desired effect. All felt a bit performative, but maybe that’s him. Oh well…
Pretty much every single journalist I respect who is no longer on national TV and makes a living on youtube - not a national audience in front of kids at Prime Time - instead, those who tune into him or her and know what to expect - almost without fail, let loose with swearing. If this offends you... don't watch these podcasts. Otherwise, the fucking FBombs are exactly the fuck how I feel. Performative? Not at all, IMO.

If you want performative, watch good old, folksy, Bill Cosby. Not a swear word to be heard. A great model for children and family values!

I can swear with the best of them you fucking **** [see :-) ], but, in that clip, it just seemed forced.

Seriously, I couldn’t care less, as I’m kinda full on news sources and pods, so he’s not someone whose voice I’m looking to add to my universe.

And in the same spirit... Fuck Off! :-)

Seriously though... you've the wrong end of the stick... entirely.

Performative is Acosta going on national news and expressing himself without swearing. Catering - and I 100% don't want swearing on prime time in front of a national audience - to his audience, against his normal behavior... performative.

Acosta letting loose F-Bombs on hidds podcast... is genuine.

Yes, I get it…honestly!

What I’m saying is that after hearing (and liking!) his journalism, it FELT very performative to hear him dropping the F bomb in every sentence, because it not only lost its value, but felt performative…TO ME.

We are getting REALLY boring, because most people have no idea who he is, let alone his history of getting under the skin of the Right! Therefore, I bid you adieu and enjoy your MLK Holiday off work!

He spent years as a CNN anchor, holding his tongue, and now he's and independent journalist it's probably a release of frustration and anger.

Poor Jake Lang, Jan 6th thug, running for Rubio's senate seat.

Went to Minnesota to burn a Quran and generally be obnoxious. Thinks it's funny to play Ice Ice Baby loudly. Claims he was stabbed but hasn't provided any evidence to that.

What is known is that he looked a little underdressed for Minnesota in January, him and his posse of about a dozen.
He looked even colder when people chucked water balloons at him. And used a SuperSoaker water pistol.
"Please stop" said Poor Jake, but mostly he looked cold and damp, and didn't get to burn anything.
