Those who can't see the damage being caused or don't think there's being damage caused, do so because they are in that small, but concerning group of nutjobs who want the damage to happen.
There is no reasoning with that thought process. They are too far gone.

Here’s what’s happening with the Epstein files. A judge denied two Congressional reps (one R, one D) a neutral party monitor to ensure the DOJ complies with the Epstein Transparency Act. Judge argue he doesn’t have the authority.

Isn't somebody in breach of something, for not releasing them on time?
I knew they would dodge things, and spend time deleting stuff.
I just thought the Dems would be far more vocal when they did.
 
Look, I know everyone is frustrated. Believe me.

But before folks argue that “Democrats aren’t doing anything”, let’s recogniz(s)e that a) that isn’t true; b) there are GOP and legal roadblocks to doing what they want; and c) there are some things they can’t do, like remove Trump via the 25th Amendment as the VP and cabinet members — each one MAGA to one extent or another, and quite a few whack jobs at that — will NEVER do it.

Newsom was denied the world’s focus and attention today at Davos, specifically by Trump, in as backhanded a way as possible.
 
With regard to people taking offense at Newsom's comments, I would also make the point that opposing Trump benefits from coordinated action. Newsom has been pretty consistent in opposing him as have many other Democrats. Obviously a number of American protestors have been seriously injured or killed. It doesn't seem unreasonable for him to ask for more spine from European leaders.

It strikes me that a new gaslighting tactic has recently emerged from the Trump acolytes who post on this thread.

It goes like this...

"I can't believe how insane the opposition to Trump has become. He's done nothing radical at all and whatever he's done can be instantly reversed if a Democrat were to win the 2028 Presidential election."

JewelZee and Damocles have advanced precisely this argument.

Just wondering... is this a new talking point among MAGA Americans, or is it simply a coincidence that MAGA posters on this thread are arguing this same inane premise?

I am coming to the conclusion that democracy is just not going to work. China and their model seem to be a good working model... And I think I now see why The West demonise China... Like Putin demonises The West.

For me though the problem is simple, news media are out of control, they tell us anything but the truth.
