IL DOUCHÉ
I don’t think there’s really much point quoting various articles and amendments to the Constitution when they are simply being bypassed or ignored. In Greater London it’s still illegal under section 60(3) of the Metropolitan Police Act 1839 to beat your rug or carpet in the street (with the exception of shaking of doormats before 8am) but that law is simply never enforced.I must have missed the asterisk on the Constitution that said “While exercising your First Amendment Rights, you can not also exercise your Second Amendment Rights…and vice versa.”
Firstly, and it has gone unsaid because we are numb to it already (and it didn’t take long!), let’s take a second to highlight the FACT that two adults were exercising their First Amendment Rights on the streets of Minneapolis and were assaulted by Government Stormtroopers. The first one was forcibly shoved into and over a snow bank while doing nothing other than documenting ICE actions.
When this happened, the second adult stepped forward with his phone camera out to record the interaction.
They were both pepper sprayed. They were both physically assaulted. This is ALREADY a violation of their First Amendment Rights.
Then, the second adult was grabbed by at least one ICE agent and then struggled to break free of him, probably out of fear of further physical assault. Because of his struggle, numerous other officers joined in the effort to detain him (illegal) and force him to the ground. He resisted the physical assault WITHOUT ANY PHYSICAL RETALIATION. This incensed at least one of the officers, who proceeded to beat the man WHILE BEING HELD BY OTHER OFFICERS (illegal).
While he was being restrained on the ground, someone shouts “Gun! Gun! Gun!” which is normal to alert others to the presence of a firearm.
However, upon hearing this, at least one officer shoots the man, appearing to strike him in the back. At that, multiple (approx 10) shots are fired, possibly by multiple Stormtroopers.
The man is executed.
The official government response is that the man was a “domestic terrorist” who brought a legal firearm to a legal protest but threatened ICE Stormtroopers with it.
ALL AVAILABLE VIDEO…from both sides of the street and from inside the vehicle in front of which the execution occurred…SHOWS THIS IS FALSE. Rather, it shows two adult males were assaulted, both with physical force and chemical sprays, before one of them was gang tackled to the ground and executed for exercising his Second Amendment Rights.
It is impossible, after witnessing last weeks execution, to believe that ICE is not causing more problems than it seems to believe they are solving.
They have undertaken a paramilitary operation on the streets of the country, carried out by masked, virtually anonymous, individuals, that is executing productive civilians with no immigration case and no criminal history, both of which are their supposed focus.
We are in uncharted territory and if Congress doesn’t act, people will start to do it for themselves, and the NRA will have their wet dream, but, ironically, probably find themselves on the wrong side of the issue AGAIN!
Carlton Heston famously stood on stage at the NRA Convention, while he was leading the organization, and held up a rifle. He shouted into the microphone the NRA’s apparent mantra…”From my cold, dead hands!”
Well, the law abiding citizen who was exercising the Right the NRA so fervently defends was not only violated, but they didn’t even wait until it was in his cold hand before they executed him for having it at all.
Where are you now, hypocrites?!
With all due respect, these fundamental freedoms are slightly different, qualitatively, to beating your rug in the street.I don’t think there’s really much point quoting various articles and amendments to the Constitution when they are simply being bypassed or ignored. ‘Walking aggressively’. That’s a red a card, isn’t it?‘The incident happened on the sidewalk as the terrorist was walking aggressively towards the officer. The officer was being driven at and feared for their life, so they and their fellow officer responded with appropriate actions.
The vehicle will be superimposed on pictures we are preparing for the media’
The main news channels hardly mention it. Ignorance appertains.Agree
It's upto the decent folk to stand up and not accept this shit.
Insurrection Act in time for the November elections, which may then be either suspended in the states (ALL OF THEM BLUE) where he has provoked conflict.I maintain that Donald is hoping for civil war because ANYTHING GOES for him and his party in such times.
The DOJ currently suing a raft of blue states to hand over details of voters rolls. I wonder what they could possibly want with those data?Trump and his cronies will know this...there is no way the Democrats will win.
This in a nutshell. I believe all their problems stem from having a right to carry a gun. It’s a recipe for a disaster. The idea of legally carrying a gun has lots of issues for me. The whole country is fucking crazy.
Glad someone spotted that reference!‘Walking aggressively’. That’s a red a card, isn’t it?
I am British and live in the UK, yet I am suffering from anxiety at all this. It is frightening. Why don’t we add the guy who called me a “stupid ****” for reminding him he told us all that Trump was just a bog-standard politician and that we were all overreacting? @Damocles. And bring back @JewelZee as well, he who thinks this is all so “LMFAO” funny.
Cut from different cloths, all big talkers once — all cowards now. They can’t/wont decry this. All cemented to their views. It’s one of the reasons I feel so hopeless.

Most Americans are not seeing this. The legacy media are largely ignoring it.Everything seems to be going exactly the way ICE want so far tbh.
They’re getting away with grabbing anyone they want off the streets, tear gas and pepper spraying whoever they want and murdering people with zero repercussions.
I honestly don’t know where things go from here. Republicans don’t give a shit, they aren’t going to do anything via congress or the senate. Democrats can’t do anything and frankly apart from the state level and a few progressives they’re not even saying the right things.
People keep asking for Walz to send in the national guard but what are they going to do? They’re not going to round up federal agents and drive them out of the state, and if they did it would be civil war.
This can’t go on until the November elections, and I think it’s just going to get worse. Only a matter of time before someone shoots an ICE officer and all hell breaks loose.
I can’t imagine how Americans are feeling seeing this happen in their own country, state, city.

Rug beating is fine in America. It’s rug munching that’s frowned upon and if it’s done by a woman it’s a capital offence.I don’t think there’s really much point quoting various articles and amendments to the Constitution when they are simply being bypassed or ignored.
