I take it you are Jewish pal and your post is right that Jews have been persecuted for decades, centuries even.Look you and most of society have lost track of who the real victims are, the Israelis were the innocents who were slaughtered. If you’re really being serious talking about genocide then it’s very clear that the real genocide has been persecuted against the Jewish people. The Jewish people in Arab Countries have been murdered and persecuted to such an extreme that there are now minuscule amounts of Jewish people living across the majority of Muslim countries. I’m not here to argue as this is wasted energy but I find it alarming how deluded large swathes of society are on this subject!
The real victims in this thread though are rebels from the houthi "government" in Yemen, not the official Yemen government, who are attacking international shipping, and fully deserved to be victims for not refraining. As for the real victims, they are people, people like me and you, without power, without a voice, killing them does not not make things better.
Idiotic cunts.
Think we should divert the boats around the Cape of Good Hope for now, swallow the inflationary effect and tax large corporations via a windfall tax to cover the cost to the poorest in our society.
We should avoid escalating this when there are practical, albeit painful alternatives available.
Long term, this type of situation is only going to get worse as drone technology becomes more ubiquitous. The world’s poor are getting better at asserting themselves. This obviously includes in relation to migration as well as disrupting international trade.
You think continuing to bomb the Middle East will end well?Yeah let’s just let a load of terrorists dictate global trade routes, that’ll end well.
Democracy and representation in that region has never existed, mostly because of religious bigotry, racism and discrimination. Iran turned a corner over a decade ago but instead of moderately aligning to the west it has turned towards a pariah state whose politics is fuelled by hatred. It is also supported by the axis of Chia and Russia who again seek to counter the west. Let's face it, any country that shoots political dissidents isn't exactly going to be agreeable or a nice place.I take it you are Jewish pal and your post is right that Jews have been persecuted for decades, centuries even.
What i will take issue with you is that even in Iran, Iran Jewish community is officially recognized as a religious minority group by the government, and, like the Zoroastrians and Christians, they are allocated one seat in the Iranian Parliament. OK thats not much but democracy in that region aint great.
My real worry is that the Jews and Isreal are being used not by muslims but the US Evangelists who pose a far bigger threat to world peace than any other group. They want the "rapture" and believe it is coming in Jerusalem, thats why they love Trump who moved the embassy there.
I am on the far left and i am assumed to be an anti semite, which is madness, Karl Marx was a Jew and the danger of mixing political beliefs with religious beliefs is crazy. Rees Mogg claims he is a christian but he is a ****.

The Houthis have attacked Royal Navy ships in international waters, why shouldn't there be a response? What should our response be when a Royal Navy ship is attacked and sailors are killed? You'd think that was the intention of the Houthis or why are they bothering?I'm never going to feel comfortable about a joint US-UK operation wheremost of our allies either think the situation doesn't require military intervention or doesn't require their intervention.
They're saying the Houthi's are putting world trade in danger, and yet only 1 of the world's 5 biggest exporter's seems to think it requires getting involved militarily.
End result is that we've tied ourselves to another American military operation, I would much rather we'd just played a logistical and intelligence role like Aus and Canada.
