I just took cash from here , but me and my mrs are going in a few weeks for a short break, and we
want to exchange money while there via our debit cards.
also, did anyone buy and City shirts etc,and if so,how much and from where ?
cheers.

We took small amount of cash and used Monzo card. That worked really well.
Have a great trip, I’d love to go back and explore the city with more time

but did you get charged a commision by the atm for withdrawing money,Iv read that turkish atm's charge up to 8% and there is a small maximum amount you can withdraw, something like only up to 3,000 lr .

In my experience they’d take all currencies apart from their own I used €,£ for taxied and the like and just tapped my card for the rest with little or no extra charge
