Usual suspects

Good news has the same effect on cynics as salt on a slug.
This also works when put around doors mate.
On the other point I've been wondering the same thing. Maybe Saga are doing are few decent bogof breaks.

Really?? One game? Nothing proved yet,far from it,Mario is still a plum, albeit one who appears to be listening to good advice and acting upon it.

I hope he continues and becomes the player we crave, however, everything that has been said so far has been fully deserved.Exactly the same for recent negative comments on our tactics and approach - all deserved.

Yesterday he managed to provide the football many have been crying out for - so he gets the credit, that's how it works.....

It's fair to say that so far he has deserved the stick he's got. That said though, it's obvious he has been spoken too and if performances and on-pitch attitude continues like it was yesterday, he will win the doubters, (of which I am one), round. Still got alot to do though, but the right path appears to have been put infront of him, lets just hope he stays on it.

i dont think anyone doubts his ability, he has just been a bit of a loon.he did well yesterday and deserved a goal for his overall game.

Like the posters above have said I'm one of his critics but as long as he continues to put in performances like yesterday you won't hear a bad word from me about him or any other player for that matter.

Fingers crossed he won't headbutt/karate kick anyone soon to fuck it up!!

Yesterday was the first time Mario appeared to be playing for the team, rather than himself, and he obviously enjoyed it - and looked like the player we know he can be as a result.
Lets hope the penny has dropped and long may it continue.
He is a centre forward, not a wide man. His best performances for us have been down the middle and as de niro said, nobody deserved a goal more than Mario yesterday.
And well done to Roberto for his patient handling of the lad, especially as his man-management skills have been openly questioned in the media and on here.

Can't agree with you here, if anything Bob's handling of him has been piss poor.

Taken until April before he puts a shift in, long may it continue though.
