Usual suspects

Anyone know why the usual negative Boo and Mario haters are missing today?

Check the FIRST Mario thread...You will find them there singing his praises...Always better to do a little research before making a fool of yourself!

Wrong, there is one lurking in the Mario thread.

And well done to Roberto for his patient handling of the lad, especially as his man-management skills have been openly questioned in the media and on here.

Can't agree with you here, if anything Bob's handling of him has been piss poor.

Taken until April before he puts a shift in, long may it continue though.
Well, that's more than Mourinho managed in an entire season at Inter so I suppose that's progress of a sort. Mario is definitely a 'challenge' for managers...

O really? Is that the thread that was posted by Ricster which was posted at 0900hrs compared to mine which was posted???????. A word of advice, make sure you always follow your own advice before you make a bigger knob of your self!

Really?? One game? Nothing proved yet,far from it,Mario is still a plum, albeit one who appears to be listening to good advice and acting upon it.

I hope he continues and becomes the player we crave, however, everything that has been said so far has been fully deserved.Exactly the same for recent negative comments on our tactics and approach - all deserved.

Yesterday he managed to provide the football many have been crying out for - so he gets the credit, that's how it works.....
Agree 100%. Nobody WANTS to see Bob sacked because his failure is our failure. I,along with many others, was getting tired of watching us play over cautious, negative football. If he reverts back to one up front and chokes the midfield next monday at anfield and we don't get a win, I'll criticise his tactics again.

Agreed, though horses for courses to a degree, we have dropped far too many points this season by being too cautious, some of us have felt for quite a while that if we play to our attacking strengths we will win many more games and points over the course of a season than if we sit tight, if we sit back at Anfield and dont get the result than questions will be asked, if we sit tight and get the three points then all will be well (for now at least), but we have the firepower to beat all sides in this league if we attack. Let them worry about US rather than us worry about them which has (IMHO) been our failing too often.

It's fair to say that so far he has deserved the stick he's got. That said though, it's obvious he has been spoken too and if performances and on-pitch attitude continues like it was yesterday, he will win the doubters, (of which I am one), round. Still got alot to do though, but the right path appears to have been put infront of him, lets just hope he stays on it.

i dont think anyone doubts his ability, he has just been a bit of a loon.he did well yesterday and deserved a goal for his overall game.

I was desperate for Mario to score yesterday.

A goal from that free-kick right at the death would have been the icing on the cake.

Though you have to give credit to Mignolet for a fantastic save.
